3D Printing in The Makeery

Introducing:
C3-DPO is an
Original Prusa MK4S XL 3D Printer
with enclosure
Submitting a 3D Print Request Online:
1. Please review the below guidelines to ensure your print request qualifies, then go to our Google Form and fill it out completely to have your print submitted online. We will contact you if we have any questions or adjustments that need to be made with the file you provided.
2. You will be notified when your job is completed and ready for pick up. Often the size of the 3D printing queue means that we will not get to a newly submitted print right away, and the process can take several business days from start to finish. Thank you for being patient with us!
3. You will have three weeks from the date of completion to pick up and pay for your print. All 3D models must be paid for in full before being released to patrons. The cost of 3D models not paid for and collected within three weeks following completion of the print will be charged as a fine against the patron’s library card.
Basic Guidelines:
-
Patrons must have an Allegheny County Library card in good standing.
-
Requests will typically be printed in the order in which they were submitted. Slight adjustments to the queue will be made to maximize efficiency.
-
Patrons are limited to printing one 3D item at a time and may only have two items in the print queue at a time.
-
Our printer dimensions:
-
Build Volume 250 x 210 x 220 mm | 9.84 x 8.3 x 8.6 in
-
Filament diameter 1.75 mm
-
Layer height 0.05-0.30 mm
-
-
If an object is too large, it will be scaled down unless the original size has been specifically requested. If we cannot accommodate the specifics of a request, you will be informed.
-
Additional printing attempts will be offered for objects that fail to print due to hardware failure. We cannot issue refunds for dissatisfaction with color, scale, quality, design, or other options selected by patrons.
-
We cannot print objects that are:
-
Prohibited by local, state, or federal law.
-
Unsafe, harmful, dangerous, or poses an immediate threat to the well-being of others.
-
Obscene or otherwise inappropriate for the library environment.
-
In violation of another’s intellectual property rights. For example, the printer will not be used to reproduce material subject to copyright, patent, or trademark protection.
-
-
The library reserves the right to refuse any 3D print request.
-
Printing may occur within public view.
